For the guy who stated there is no yaw trim adjustment on the TX - check out the little thumbwheel on the right side of the TX, there's your trim adjustment. For the guy who could not charge from computer USB, mine charges just fine working with the USB cable that came with the S110g.
I have four other Syma 3-ch helicopters, the S107g, S108g, S111g, and the S026g. All flew wonderful perfect out of the box. Not so with the S110g. 1st flight the helicopter took off, I without difficulty trimmed out the yaw, and it flew for a handful of seconds prior to exhibiting a negative case of TBE (toilet bowl impact). It smashed into the wall and two parts came off. At very first I couldn't tell exactly where the parts came from but they were the covers for the LED lights and just snapped back into spot no issue. So..... Myself and quite a few co-workers decided to make these helicopters element of our down time while more than right here in the middle of nowhere... I upped it to a four star, only for the reason that it has withstood a significant beating, and it shoots missles. It did require the repair of the tail rotor tho, and it doesn't deal with as excellent as it must for the price. and it really is loud.

Somehow I managed to crash and snap off the tabs that pin into the rotor blade assembly. I didn't really want the complete shaft but this had the part. I was in a position to loosen the screws (which had been included, unlike the earlier post) and swap the black piece onto the current shaft attached to my chopper. It took a minute or two to get everything back but then we had been flying once again!

It works. And it really is a excellent match for the original Syma 107g. I discovered it more intuitive to transfer the replacement head to my original shaft (with its intact drive gear) to replace the broken blade axles. I do not know how challenging it would have been to eliminate the gear - I assume it would not be simple and easy.

My almost-three-year-old has been carrying Harold around with him everywhere he goes for a year now. Of all the Thomas items we personal, this 1 is his rather favorite. He loves to spin the blades, and I like that he cannot break it.

This is the one particular piece (besides Thomas) that I really feel I will need to have an "additional" on hand in case it gets lost.

Acquire Harold! Don't be like me, waiting and asking yourself if Harold would be a waste of money. He won't be.

My thinking was that my son was, afterall, 'into' Thomas the Tank Engine and the other Steamies, not air travel.

I Should really have bought Harold sooner! He loves him. Harold fairly substantially goes everywhere that Thomas goes... into the bath, into the sandbox and whatever mud puddles are out there. And he has held up fairly great. A small missing paint, but otherwise unscathed.

Fantastic obtain-- afterall, at times the rails are blocked and you do require someone delivering the mail.

Note:

I see that other individuals have had prop difficulties but we have not. Perhaps my child isn't as hard on his toys as I thought.

I bought this toy for my son and myself, and I must say I have been well pleased with its construction, durability and functionality. The toy has taken a number of hard crashes into buildings, concrete, and trees -- so its tuff, damn tuff, but how well does it fly? Firstly, its more a powerful bird as compared to any of the small battery powered helicopters I have previously bought or seen. It flies high, 100 feet and it needs a lot of space to really enjoy flying it. You can fly it in the backyard, but I find I spend more time worrying about crashing it into the house than really having fun.

The gyro's keep the copter level and provide pinpoint turning -- Meaning that It spins around while hovering in mid-air. The flight challenge is to keep the copter's hight steady, while moving the copter forward. Again, turning is not an issue, its balancing the hight and forward direction that is difficult. One reviewer mentioned that it will not fly forward or backward; however this is not the case. After a few days of practice both my 9 year old and I could pilot the copter reasonably well. I got about 15 minutes of flying time for every hour of charging. With the high learning curve this can make for some frustration. Is it worth buying? Yeah, its fun, and my son and I got a big kick out of it -- especially at night as it lights up! But, personally I wondered if it may not be worth it to spend a little more money and buy a bigger copter that is easer to fly.

Bottom Line: This copter is fun, sturdy, will and may well satisfy your needs -- if you put some time in learning to fly it.

First R/C helicopter I've ever owned -- not new to the R/C scene, though (and I have a good understanding of how real helicopters fly and operate). It took me a little getting used to (hence the "tough for beginners" comment), but easy to master (hence the "easy for intermediates" comment).

A lot of the other reviews have covered most of the issues -- here are my additional thoughts:

- Flies pretty well right out of the box -- constantly needs to be trimmed on the rotational axis and, as someone else noted, maintaining height/hover control is a bit challenging.

- The Quick/Slow toggle switch is good for controlling your speed indoors (use the Slow setting). I've yet to fly this outdoors (darned winter...mid-December 2010 as I write this), so haven't really tried the Quick setting. It does seem to fly noticeably quicker in the Quick setting.

- Only real negative that I've encountered so far (prevented this from getting a full 5-star rating in my book) is that the quality control is a touch lacking -- one of the wires soldered onto the On/Off switch came loose on the 2nd flight, requiring me to have to re-solder the wire (and asking for my wife's help, as it was really a 3-hand operation).

And it looks like I got a deal, the price seems to have gone up by about $20 since I bought it!

This is a great little helicopter.It's a lot better than the other brands from Walmart or Target like the Airhogs and others. My brother has gotten some of the Airhogs ones and I've flown them and they start spinning like crazy. But these don't they go up,left,right and down. They don't spin and they're very durable. My brother got one and a little later we went back and i got one. My helicopter has fallen from a least 10 feet and wasn't damaged. This is the first helicopter I've owned myself and I'm not that great of a flyer but it's really sturdy. Some people right bad reviews because they don't know how to charge it right.The day after I got it i was already looking at the next one i will purchase. This a great gift for all ages I highly recommend it. I'm 11 and i love it.

I bought two of these for the boys this Christmas. After about an hour of charge time we had them flying with ease. Mastering them will take a while, but they are cool and the boys like being able to fly them in the house. Not for little kids, or those without patience. I wish the flight time to charge time was better...but for the price I really can't complain. And you have to love a toy that comes with spare parts. Oh, and for a laugh you should read the instructions...wow...talk about poorly worded and bad English. Still, we were able to get things to work in spite of the directions.
