Customer Reviews
First to address some of the comments from other reviewers... For the guy who stated there is no yaw trim adjustment on the TX - check out the little thumbwheel on the right side of the TX, there's your trim adjustment. For the guy who could not charge from computer USB, mine charges just fine working with the USB cable that came with the S110g.
I have four other Syma 3-ch helicopters, the S107g, S108g, S111g, and the S026g. All flew wonderful perfect out of the box. Not so with the S110g. 1st flight the helicopter took off, I without difficulty trimmed out the yaw, and it flew for a handful of seconds prior to exhibiting a negative case of TBE (toilet bowl impact). It smashed into the wall and two parts came off. At very first I couldn't tell exactly where the parts came from but they were the covers for the LED lights and just snapped back into spot no issue. TBE is NOT when the helicopter rotates around the major rotor axis, that is yaw and that is what the trim manage takes care of. TBE is when the helicopter swirls around in a large circle like it is getting flushed down the toilet when trying to hover. A small web looking revealed the attainable causes - either a binding flybar or binding upper rotor hub hinges on hinged-blade machines like the Symas. My flybar wasn't binding and the hinges seemed OK, but as an experiment I utilised a jeweler's screwdriver to very carefully loosen the upper blade mounting screws by 1/4 turn, just in case they were a tiny tight. Could not hurt. Then went for a test flight and the TBE was entirely cured! Now it flies totally stable and is as responsive as any of its larger brothers.
So aside from the small TBE situation that was easily fixed (and by fixing it I learned a lot about how these tiny guys function) it's a cool little helicopter and amazingly modest.
I purchased the Heli for $18.45 and its a terrific deal. It charges really fast and flies particularly stable. It goes forward and back highly rapidly. The heli is really tiny but rather robust. Its also educational for the reason that I learned how helicopters operate! The Wings are highly sturdy and the lights it shoots out are cool. The Heli is metal with plastic on it but the plastic is quite sturdy. The Remote has no spring so bear in mind to pull down when your landing! It has Gyro which suggests it automobile - stablizes itself. My other heli, Syma s012 lasted for 4 days. I believe this heli will final with me forever!
